Tolulope Anthony Adekola

adekola_0.jpgDr. Tolulope Adekola is a Lecturer in Law at Thomas More Law School, Australian Catholic University(ACU). Before joining ACU, he held research positions at the T.C. Beirne School of Law, University of Queensland, and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Germany.

His research interests span International Law, Law and Technology, Intellectual Property Law, Health Innovation Policy, and Legal Philosophy. He is the author of Regional Cooperation, Intellectual Property Law, and Access to Medicines: A Holistic Approach for Least Developed Countries (Routledge, 2024).

He has published extensively in highly ranked, peer-reviewed international journals, including the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property (Edward Elgar Publishing), World Trade Review (Cambridge University Press), Legal Studies (Cambridge University Press), and Globalization and Health (Springer Nature), among others.

Dr. Adekola has received several academic awards, including being shortlisted for the 2024 Australian Legal Research Award (Early Career Researcher) and winning the University of Queensland's BEL Award for Excellence in Research (2024).

He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His PhD research was jointly funded by the City University of Hong Kong and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Munich, Germany.
